These smoked salmon cream cheese cups are a quick and easy way to have your guests feel special when they have a cup of deliciousness all to themselves.

To serve this recipe
You can use 5-oz. cups but also consider using even smaller 3-oz. cups as an appetizer size per guest.
Or, mix up the sizes as not everyone has a big appetite.
Alternatively, spoons will make your appetizers look mouth-wateringly gorgeous as well.

Yields: (4) 5oz. appetizer cups
(8-10) 3 oz. appetizer cups
TIP: for large crowds, I recommend using the spoons and depending on how generous you make the portions, you’ll have approximately 20 – 30 servings.
Ingredients:
- 16 oz. cream cheese at room temperature
- ½ cup heavy cream
- 3 oz. sugar-free smoked salmon, chopped
- ¼ cup capers, well-drained
- Whole chives, for garnish
- Optional: thin lemon slices for garnish
To serve: Pop a small spoon in each cup and serve with gluten-free or your own spicy tirokafteri sourdough cheese crackers.

Directions:
- Choose your size of appetizer cups and set them out. Alternatively, for a large crowd, use spoons.
Chop smoked salmon in bite-sized pieces and reserve in a small bowl. - Add cream cheese and heavy cream to a large bowl and beat with an electric mixer until light and fluffy, approximately 2-3 minutes.
- Scoop whipped cream cheese mixture into a pastry bag fitted with a tip.
Pipe cream cheese into the bottom of each cup until about ¼ full.
Make sure to fill in the corners. - Next, add a layer of the chopped smoked salmon and one teaspoon of the drained capers.
- Repeat this process one more time and then conclude with a final layer of whipped cream cheese and one teaspoon of capers on top.
- Garnish each cup with two to three long-stemmed fresh chives and serve immediately. Enjoy!

Ingredients

Instructions
- Add cream cheese and heavy cream to a large bowl and beat with an electric mixer until light and fluffy, approximately 2-3 minutes.
